Fredrick D. Scott on Monday announced the reorganization of The Scott Family Foundation Intl., an International Non-Governmental Organization created in 2011 and launching of a U.S. subsidiary of the same, The Scott Family Foundation Intl. U.S. Inc., a U.S. based Not For Profit Organization that focuses on various initiatives within the African American community.

Scott is a former financial consultant, private equity investor, venture capitalist, Investment Bank founder and is currently a motivational speaker. Named one of Ebony magazine's "Top 30 Under 30" in May 2010 at the age of 25, Scott was, at the time, the youngest African American hedge fund founder in history. Scott has appeared on TVOne's "Washington Watch" with Roland Martin and on New York'sHot 97-FM. He also spoke at the annual conferences for the National Action Network, the National Bankers Association, the Jackie Robinson Foundation and the renowned Eagle Academy.

"My passion is helping our community become economically stable and viable long term," said Scott. "To empower those, not only in our community, but globally by giving them access to information and opportunities that will put them in the best position to succeed in life. From my own experience, I understand what it means to be on the lower rung of the social caste system, to have to fight for even the most basic of human rights, to be a minority in a country that doesn't favor the color of your skin and uses it against you, uses it as justification for why you don't deserve equal rights and equal access! I know first hand what it means to be Black and Muslim in America. It is now my focus to use my knowledge, my experience and the lessons I've learned from my own mistakes, to empower those around me, to help them find strategic and lasting success; to do everything within my power to keep those around me from making the same mistakes I've made and suffering the consequences of the same. As a Felon in the United States, it is my goal to show those around me, with my actions and by example, that nothing can stop you from being successful and having a positive impact on the world you live in if you are armed with the right knowledge, support, vision and determination!"
