Audax Private Equity portfolio company, Active Day, acquires Sunrise Miami Adult Day Care Center from Sunrise Community Inc. and Two Minnesota Adult Day Care Centers from Millennium Adult Day Care

THE COMPANY

Sunrise and Millennium provide adult day care services in the Florida and Minnesota markets, respectively. All three centers are recognized for offering first class care and companionship for elderly and developmentally disabled individuals.

THE DEAL

Active Day, a portfolio company of Audax Private Equity (“Audax”), has acquired one adult day care center in Florida from Sunrise Community, Inc. and two centers in Minnesota from Millennium Adult Day Care. The transactions expand Active Day’s core adult day care offering into the Florida and Minnesota markets.

THE THESIS

Audax acquired Active Day in December 2015 as a leading national provider of adult day health services and in-home personal care. With more than 100 locations across the country, Active Day provides therapeutic activities, opportunities for socialization, and expert health and nursing care to improve its members’ daily functioning and delay the onset of chronic illness. The acquisitions of Sunrise’s Florida center and Millennium’s Minnesota centers are Active Day’s 12th and 13th acquisitions under Audax ownership, respectively.
