DLA Piper Named a Top Law Firm for Women by Working Mother

8/6/18

DLA Piper is pleased to announce that it has once again been named one of the 60 best law firms for women by Working Mother. For the second year, Working Mother collaborated with the American Bar Association Journal as a knowledge partner to help identify the firms listed.

For the seventh time, DLA Piper was recognized for its success in hiring, retaining and promoting women; and for its commitment to providing flexible work arrangements, and initiatives that enhance the advancement of women in law.

"It is with great enthusiasm that we receive this recognition as we continue to strive to build upon each success to create a more diverse and inclusive firm culture," said Lisa Haile, co-chair of DLA Piper's Leadership Alliance for Women (LAW) and a member of the firm's Executive Committee. LAW, launched in 2006, is focused on advancing women lawyers through internal networking, developing leadership skills and creating business development opportunities.

"We know that success for women equates to success for the whole firm," said Stefanie Fogel, co-founder and co-chair of LAW and a partner in DLA Piper's Boston office.

On a related note, the firm has gone beyond its initial adoption of the Mansfield Rule by recently signing on to the Mansfield 2.0 diversity initiative, designed to ensure that diverse lawyers, including women, are at least 30% of the candidate pool in consideration for promotions, senior level hiring and significant leadership roles in the firm.
