Plug Power CEO Andy Marsh Named to U.S. Department of Energy Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technical Advisory Committee

(NASDAQ: PLUG), a leader in providing energy solutions that change the way the world moves, announced that its CEO, Andy Marsh, has been named to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technical Advisory Committee (HTAC). The HTAC was established under Section 807 of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 to provide technical and programmatic advice to the Energy Secretary on the DOE’s hydrogen research and development goals, strategies, and activities.

Comprised of 19 business and academic leaders in the field of hydrogen and fuel cells, the HTAC meets twice a year to discuss the advancement of hydrogen technology. Marsh will serve as a representative of companies pursuing hydrogen and fuel cells for transportation and stationary power applications. In his role as committee member, Marsh will look to advise on practical, current uses of hydrogen as an efficient, cost-effective alternative energy source, as well as the potential for future innovations.
