Jessy Steeg Joins KeyMe as VP of Marketing

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--KeyMe, the leading resource for total access and key management that is fundamentally changing the way millions of people make and manage their keys, announced today that Jessy Steeg has joined the company as the new Vice President of Marketing. In this newly created role, Steeg will be in charge of merchandising, partnership, SEO, SEM, retail marketing, CRM, PR and branding. She will report directly to Jessica Harley, Chief Customer Officer (CCO).

Steeg is a seasoned marketing professional who has overseen e-commerce, SEM, SEO, promotions, merchandising and branding, with a focus on growth, impact and ROI, for a number of global brands, such as Adidas, Reebok and Gilt Groupe. Most recently, she served as senior director of e-commerce for Adidas in Japan. In this role, she was responsible for e-commerce for both the Adidas and Reebok brands, which included defining and executing on the company’s overall strategic vision and driving business profitability in the region. During her tenure, she saw a 30+ percent year-over-year increase in revenue and 5+ percent year-over-year increase in profitability.

Prior to this position, Steeg served as the digital director at Japan Europe Trading Co., LTD., where she launched b2b and b2c e-commerce platforms for specialty Italian food and wine merchandise. Before that, she was a marketing director for Gilt Groupe Japan. Steeg began her career at L’Oréal. as a product merchandiser. She also sits on the advisory board of GNC (General Nutrition Centers) Japan K.K., where she provides guidance and makes business and operations recommendations to the company’s board of directors.

Today’s announcement comes on the heels of a number of recent hires and board announcements made by KeyMe. In May, Jimmy Abbott and Adam McCann joined the company as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Director of Analytics, respectively, and industry veteran James Moorhead, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Metromile, joined KeyMe’s board of directors in June. These senior-level hires reflect KeyMe’s continued growth and expansion. The business grew by over 300 percent in 2017 and is on track to more than triple in 2018, as it scales to become the most trusted brand in the key management industry.
