The Nature's Bounty Co., a global leader in health and wellness, today announced that Amy von Walter has joined the company as Chief Communications Officer reporting to President and CEO Paul Sturman.

In this role, Ms. von Walter will oversee internal and external communications as well as government affairs and corporate social responsibility. She will be responsible for building the company's communication strategy, ensuring it is well positioned in the marketplace during this important time in the company's transformation.

Ms. von Walter comes to The Nature's Bounty Co. team from Toys"R"Us where she was the Executive Vice President of Global Communications and Customer Care. There, she led corporate and internal communications, brand public relations, social media, special events and the customer service division. Ms. von Walter also served as President of the Toys"R"Us Children's Fund.

Previously, Ms. von Walter held communication leadership positions in a variety of industries including Best Buy, during its turnaround, Medtronic, Target and the Department of Homeland Security.

Ms. von Walter earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota. She serves on the Board of Advisors for USC Annenberg's Center of Public Relations and ACES, a nonprofit focused on eliminating the achievement gap for low-income children in MN.
