The event took place at SWERVE Fitness, located at 21 West 46th Street in New York City. The CoreNet Young Leaders committee is dedicated to serving the educational, networking and well-being needs of members under the age of 35 in the corporate real estate industry.

Raising Thousands of Dollars for Important Research

The fitness event’s proceeds went to The Pink Agenda, a nonprofit organization committed to raising money for breast cancer research and treatment, with a focus on raising awareness among young professionals. Since being founded in 2007, The Pink Agenda has contributed over two million dollars to fund breast cancer research and care. Born of the belief that engaging today’s generation can go a long way toward finding tomorrow’s cure, The Pink Agenda finds, funds and partners with people and programs that are improving the lives of those suffering from breast cancer and conducting the groundbreaking research necessary to improve their odds. Overall, The CoreNet NYC SWERVE Fitness event was attended by close to 50 people and raised $16,356 which will fund approximately 327 hours of breast cancer research.

“We are incredibly proud of how much money we raised at this event,” said Zachary Vaughn, Senior Associate, Enterprise Real Estate Advisory at WeWork and CoreNet NY Young Leader Committee Member. “The enthusiasm and positivity of the attendees was amazing to witness. We are pleased that this first annual event was such a success. It is great to know that we were able to provide the funds to fuel over 300 hours of important research.”

“CoreNet’s Young Leaders Committee is comprised of an amazing group of young professionals,” said Julia Knight, Associate Director, The Pink Agenda. “We are grateful for their dedication to our cause and participation in this event. $16,000 is a significant amount of money that will directly benefit those suffering from breast cancer. We look forward to continue partnering with CoreNet to get closer to finding a cure for this disease.”
