General Electric Is Fit For Speculation, Not Investment

Summary

Since I warned investors in January about more surprises at GE, the stock has fallen more than 50%.

As expected, there's never just one cockroach: GE has reported multiple negative surprises in the past year.

The underlying business has not yet stabilized, making any investment here pure speculation.

I tried to warn you back in January: even having fallen 50% from its recent highs, General Electric (GE) was not yet an obvious buy. Allow me to quote myself:

Why is this the case? Because, quite simply, we still don't know what nasty surprises GE has in store.

Since then, GE's stock has fallen another 50%, due in no small part to a number of surprises that I cautioned may exist nearly a year ago.
