CRANBURY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--OncLive, the nation’s leading digital resource focused on providing oncology professionals with the most current and insightful information they need to provide the best patient care, announced Edward Kim, MD, FACP, a clinical oncology expert, as the program chair for the first OncLive Global Expo, which will take place October 11-13 at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Orlando, Florida.

Edward Kim, MD, FACP is the Chair of Solid Tumor Oncology and Investigational Therapeutics and the Donald S. Kim Distinguished Chair for Cancer Research at the Levine Cancer Institute, Atrium Health in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dr. Kim studies novel targeted agents and biomarkers in the treatment and prevention settings and has expertise in lung and head and neck cancers. He was the principal investigator of the BATTLE personalized medicine trial and co-led the ASCO-Friends of Cancer Research Modernizing Clinical Trial Eligibility project. He is currently the chair of the NCI Adult Early Phase Emphasis CIRB, the ASCO Research Community Forum, and the Steering Committee for ASCO’s TAPUR study. Dr. Kim has also received numerous awards, including the ASCO Young Investigators Award, the AACR Scholar in Training Award and grants from the V Foundation for Cancer Research and currently serves on the Board of the North Carolina Lung Cancer Initiative and Charlotte Ballet. Additionally, Dr. Kim is the author or coauthor of more than 200 published articles, book chapters and reviews in journals, such as The Lancet, The Lancet Oncology, the Journal of Clinical Oncology, Cancer Discovery, Cancer, Nature Medicine, and Cancer Prevention Research.
