In an exciting move to further its impactful work in the community, The Arc of Dutchess, one of the county’s largest providers of support services for those with developmental and intellectual disabilities, announced the addition of James McKenna and Robert Ranieri to its board of directors.

“We’re so pleased to have both James and Robert join the organization’s foundation board,” said Crys McCuin, executive director of The Arc of Dutchess. “With their varied leadership experience and dedication to our community, I’m certain their contributions will help us to continue moving our mission forward.”

McKenna, assistant vice president of marketing at Tompkins Mahopac Bank, brings several years of communications experience to his role on the board. Previously, he held marketing positions at Sodexo USA and Liberty Travel. Outside of the office, McKenna is an adjunct professor of public relations at Marist College, an active supporter of The Chamber Foundation, Inc., and a member of the marketing committee for the United Way of Dutchess and Orange. In April 2019, he was honored by the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce for his strong commitment to the Hudson Valley at the Forty Under 40 Mover and Shaker Awards.

A fellow Forty Under 40 honoree and lifelong resident of Dutchess County, Ranieri was appointed to his current role as senior vice president at Rose and Kiernan, Inc. in 2004. After graduating from Marist College with a degree in public relations, Ranieri held positions at Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield and Daniels Insurance Agency of New York, Inc. He is currently serving on the board for The Council on Addiction, Prevention and Education (CAPE), Vassar-Warner Home and the Hudson Valley Renegades Pitch for Kids Foundation. An active supporter of his alma maters, he is president of the Our Lady of Lourdes Alumni Association and chairman for the Marist College Hudson Valley Scholars program.
