Animal Hospital is offering a 50 Percent Discount on a Pet’s Physical Examination

Dr. Naum Polonskiy D.V.M, a veterinarian who lives on Staten Island, achieved his version of the “American Dream” by opening the first, state-of-the-art animal hospital in nearby Perth Amboy. The new animal hospital, located at 276 High Street, is just minutes from the Outerbridge Crossing and State Route 440.

Dr. Polonskiy spent years planning and creating the Animal Hospital of Perth Amboy, which is the only, privately-owned facility of its kind in the city. Equipped with the most advanced veterinary equipment and technology, the 3,700-square-foot animal hospital. The three-story facility was developed to provide a full range of veterinary medicine, as well as dog grooming and pet boarding services.

Recently, the City of Perth Amboy, Mayor Wilda Diaz and the Business Improvement District (BID) welcomed Dr. Polonskiy and animal hospital’s professional staff to the city during a ribbon cutting ceremonies. The celebration was also attended by the veterinarian’s clients who live in Staten Island, Brooklyn and Northern New Jersey. A number of local pet owners brought their dogs to the event, which included tours of the animal hospital’s exam rooms, boarding area, cat ward, grooming rooms, intensive care and surgery suites.

The Animal Hospital of Perth Amboy, which is open seven days a week, is a full-service facility that provides veterinary care, grooming and boarding pets. The facilities include exam rooms for large, medium-size and small dogs, a cat ward, intensive care recovery area and surgical suite. Also, the facility has post-care recovery spaces. For more details about the hours, ranges of services and to schedule an appointment, contact Dr. Polonskiy at 1-888-405-1738.

To celebrate the grand opening, Dr. Polonskiy is offering new patients a 50 percent discount on the cost of a pet’s physical exam. Pet owners may schedule an exam for their dog, cat or exotic animal. The vet may suggest additional veterinary care. If a pet owner decides to go ahead with the suggested treatments, those procedures will be performed at animal hospital’s standard fees.

Following a tour of the facility, Mayor Diaz said, “We are grateful that Dr. Polonskiy selected Perth Amboy as the site for his animal hospital. The doctor and his team have taken great care and invested significant time and funds to provide our community and its pet lovers with an exceptional resource. I encourage you to bring your pets here, tour the space and, if needed, make an appointment with the doctor.”

Prior to opening the new hospital, Dr. Polonskiy started a mobile veterinary clinic called “House

Pet Calls.” For over 10 years, he drove to homes and brought his clinic to pet owners, providing checkups, surgeries and night calls.

While speaking about the facility, Dr. Polonskiy said, “Our animal hospital was designed as a welcoming, friendly and comfortable environment where pet owners may bring their animals for care. My goal was re-create the nurturing “home visit” treatment concept in an animal hospital that has a professional veterinary team and the best high technology equipment. We have succeeded, and I invite you and your beloved pets to experience this level of care. Please visit us soon.”

Dr. Polonskiy, who emigrated to America from Ukraine in 1993, passed his National Veterinary Boards in 2003. He earned his veterinarian degree from Oklahoma State University, and began his career by working at a number of animal hospitals in New York.
