DLA Piper represented Electrocomponents plc in its US$145 million acquisition of Synovos, Inc, an independent integrated supplier providing comprehensive MRO supply chain management services.

Electrocomponents is a London-based, global omni-channel solutions partner for industrial customers and suppliers involved in designing, building or maintaining industrial equipment and facilities. It will acquire Synovos on a debt- and cash-free basis, which will enable expansion of its value-added solutions offer in the Americas.

“We were pleased to partner with and advise Electrocomponents on its acquisition of Synovos,” said Brian Gordon, the DLA Piper partner who led the firm’s deal team. “Our extensive experience executing cross-border technology mergers & acquisitions was a key asset in our handling of this transaction, which will allow Electrocomponents to accelerate its service offerings and continue to provide value-added solutions for its customers.”

“DLA Piper’s contributions and experience were integral to making this transaction both successful and efficient. We greatly appreciate the counsel and advice the DLA Piper team provided us in this important transaction,” said Alexandra Winter-Wood, Legal Director at Electrocomponents.

In addition to Gordon (Atlanta), the DLA Piper team representing Electrocomponents included Puja Vadodaria, Stacy Paz, Julia Kovacs, Bill Bartow, Paolo Morante, Danish Hamid, James Rusert, Nia Brown, Ute Krudewagen and James Duchesne.

The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2021 and is subject to customary closing conditions, including US anti-trust.

With more than 1,000 corporate lawyers globally, DLA Piper helps clients execute complex cross-border transactions seamlessly while supporting clients across all stages of development. The firm has been rated number one in global M&A volume for ten consecutive years, according to Mergermarket.
