Mezzanine-Level Space Boasts an Outdoor Dining Terrace and Unmatched Access to Brooklyn’s Vibrant Downtown Neighborhood

Acadia Realty Trust (Acadia) and Washington Square Partners (Washington Square), co-developers ofCity Point, the 1.8 million-square-foot Downtown Brooklyn (DoBro) development located at the intersection of Fulton and Flatbush Avenues – Brooklyn’s most active shopping corridor – recently announced that a 7,700-square-foot mezzanine-level restaurant space, complete with an outdoor dining terrace, is now available for lease. The location offers prospective restaurateurs the unique opportunity to be housed in Brooklyn’s largest mixed-use development, a project praised for its transformation of DoBro’s commercial and residential scene.

With City Point leading the way, Downtown Brooklyn is becoming one of New York’s premiere food destinations,” said Chris Conlon, co-developer of City Point. “The DoBro market is experiencing high demand as developers, retailers, and home owners have identified the neighborhood as an area of opportunity. This mezzanine restaurant space will provide its prospective operator the opportunity to be a part of the neighborhood’s continued growth, amidst DoBro’s renaissance and revival of Fulton Street.

City Point’s architect-of-record, COOKFOX Architects, spearheaded the design of the open concept restaurant space, and will have 12-foot ceilings and sweeping views of the newly constructed Willoughby Square Park.

“With Brooklyn now one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S., it is important that we create a development that benefits local residents, visitors, and workers alike,” said Paul Travis, co-developer of City Point. “As dining remains a crucial component to the growth and stability of any urban neighborhood, we are looking to collaborate with a like-minded restaurateur committed to serving a cuisine that mirrors Brooklyn’s eclectic make-up.”

The new restaurant tenant will join Fortina, the renowned Bronx-based Italian restaurant by Food Network’s, Christian Petroni. The restaurateur signed a 15-year, 4,612-square-foot lease earlier this year, rounding out City Point’s designated restaurant spaces. Other tenants include DeKalb Market Hall, City Point’s 30,000-square-foot hall that consists of noted vendors such as Katz’s Deli, Ample Hills Creamery, Eight Turn Crepe, and Cuzin’s Duzin. National retailer Trader Joe’s will serve as the project’s sole grocery anchor tenant.

Anchor tenants, including Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, Century 21 and Target are scheduled to open summer 2016.

Currently 80 percent leased, there is still time for interested parties to find space in the development’s unique Prince Street Passage. Anticipated to service almost 37 million shoppers, students, and working professionals on an annual basis, the City Point team anticipates full lease up quickly.
