Veteran construction executive Erik Caiola joins Herald Square Properties as Director of Construction. In this newly created position at the commercial real estate firm, which recently acquired 251 West 30th Street and is the asset manager for the Lipstick Building, at 885 Third Avenue, and 292 Madison Avenue, Mr. Caiola will oversee everything from pre-built offices to major capital improvement programs. Prior to joining Herald Square Properties, he served as Chief Estimator for McGovern & Company Construction, considered one of the country’s premier specialists in interior construction and renovations.
“As our firm continues to grow and we acquire additional office properties and clients, bringing a construction expert to the team became crucial,” says Gerard Nocera, Co-Founder and Principal of Herald Square Properties. “Erik has an impressive track record and is already making important contributions.”
Having grown up in his family’s construction business, Mr. Caiola has a long history in all facets of the profession, but particularly as a skilled estimator. He holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Boston University and lives in Brooklyn.
