Siderow Commercial Group Expands

- Boutique Manhattan Commercial Brokerage Adds Key Members -

Siderow Commercial Group, a boutique Manhattan commercial real estate brokerage, expanded its ranks with the addition of two industry veterans.

The established NYC commercial insiders both have a history of Manhattan leasing, representing tenants ranging from an international restaurant group to office spaces to retail to “celebrity businesses” to tech startups, basically the full gamut of what comprises the interesting mix that distinguishes New York City from other cities.

Siderow Commercial Group, like its new additions, focuses on tenant and landlord representation and works closely with its clients, many of which continue working with the Siderow team and founder Bradford Siderow, with each new space need: when adding another location, when seeking tenants for a space or building, when moving to larger office space, when opening a Madison Avenue retail space or new restaurant downtown or even across the river. As their clients are paramount, Siderow chooses carefully those they want to join the brokerage; Alexander Altman and Marty Kuper both fit seamlessly.

“Commercial brokerage in NYC is truly a challenge and an acquired art form in its own right. Breaking into it and becoming a true polished pro isn’t accomplished within a year or after one deal; it takes a special mix of drive, perseverance, business savvy, relationship building skills and a thirst for Manhattan business and lifestyles. We’re thrilled we met two possessing this mix in Alex and Marty, who also see in Siderow Commercial Group as a brokerage where they can grow their careers,” said Bradford Siderow, Founder & CEO of Siderow Commercial Group.

Altman started out as merchandiser in the fashion industry, proving the point that most great ones have had varied careers and experiences shaping them before moving into real estate, said Joshua Arcus, President of Siderow Commercial Group. With an eye for appealing spaces with business value, Altman has worked with “creative types” such as celebrity businesses, creative agencies and tech start-ups and financial firms that want work spaces with a creative vibe in Midtown or other parts of Manhattan.

“When I met Brad and Josh at Siderow, I felt they had an honest and dynamic organization that allows for opportunity and scale. They know which brokers are independent and which require guidance to get started, not to mention they are genuinely good people,” said Altman, a Licensed Associate Broker, who is building his own team at SCG.

Serial entrepreneur Marty Kuper is a lifelong New Yorker – Queens College graduate and current Manhattan resident – who sold an imprinted sportswear company after 15 years in that industry, worked as a retail financial stock broker supervising and training new brokers and segued into commercial real estate, bringing skills and contacts gained in both industries to his real estate endeavors.

“My financial background and empathetic ear allows me to zero in on the client’s wants and desires, aiming for a directed approach to their needs. I chose to work with Siderow as I was impressed with their high degree of ethics and general satisfaction from both their clients and salespeople,” said Kuper, who has placed an international restaurant group in a new office, as well as a variety of retail and office tenant clients.
