Five Brooklyn Landlords Sign On to Provide Service for Popular Route
Full-service commercial real estate firm ABS Partners Real Estate, LLC. today announced that it is working with a group of developers to arrange a shuttle bus for East Williamsburg and Bushwick office tenants starting in 2019 when the L train disconnects from Manhattan for 18 months. The shuttle bus will run to and from the Myrtle Avenue subway station to participating office buildings, operating regularly to transport tenants to their destination in under 10 minutes.
Thus far, the following properties are participating in the program:
455 Jefferson Street (Lincoln Property Co.)
314 Scholes Street (Hudson Companies)
Bushwick Generator (Heritage Equity Partners)
333 Johnson Avenue (Normandy Real Estate Partners)
Paper Mill – 456 Johnson Avenue (Sequoia Development Group)
“Brooklynites and New Yorkers in general learn to adapt and make the city work for them. There is a tremendous amount of investment and energy being put into this area of Brooklyn and the stakeholders are working together to ensure that it continues to grow as a hub for business and culture,” said Ben Waller, the head of ABS Partners’ Brooklyn office. “We have a great group of buildings participating in this project and we’re hoping to bring on more partners as the MTA work nears; we want people to know that Bushwick and East Williamsburg will still be easily accessible in 2019. We’re also planning to create a tracking app that shows riders the shuttle’s location in real time, making the commute even easier.”
The shuttle is slated to run every 15-20 minutes on two loops between the J/M/Z Myrtle Avenue MTA station and the participating properties. The J/M/Z subway line provides direct access to Herald Square and Penn Station and connects to other major subway lines to provide access to the rest of the city.
