CBRE’s Matthew McBride Awarded Irish America Business 100

12/5/16

CBRE Group Inc. today announced that Matthew McBride has been named to the Irish America Business 100, an award honoring the best and the brightest Irish-American and Irish-born leaders representing some of the most innovative and influential companies and corporations in the world.

The award will be presented at a December 7 luncheon at the Metropolitan Club of New York City.

As a Senior Vice President with CBRE, Mr. McBride serves as an advisor to corporate, government and nonprofit organizations on their real estate needs throughout New York City and other major U.S. markets. Consistently recognized as a top producer, Mr. McBride assists companies from small organizations to Fortune 500 firms, helping them reduce costs, increase space efficiencies, achieve operational benefits and enhance company culture and branding through their real estate. Throughout his 20-year career with CBRE, Mr. McBride has been involved in transactions totaling more than 17 million square feet.

Having grown up in Omagh, County Tyrone, Mr. McBride came to the U.S. for the 1994 World Cup and subsequently decided to stay. Despite the change in location, his love for his home country and connections to Ireland have remained with him—and his background has allowed him to partner with a breadth of Irish organizations on their U.S. real estate needs, from the Bank of Ireland to the Irish Government.

Matthew graduated from the University of Liverpool, England, with an honors degree in Urban Estate Management and is a certified member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He is heavily involved with the Real Estate Board of New York and the American Ireland Fund. Matthew and his wife Casey reside in Connecticut with their four young boys—Liam, Max, Jude and Callum. The family enjoys making the trek back to the homeland each summer to visit their favorite spots in County Donegal.

Since its inception in 1985, Irish America has become a powerful vehicle for expression on a range of political, economic, social, and cultural themes that are of paramount importance to the Irish in the United States. Its flagship bimonthly publication, Irish Americamagazine, covers topics relevant to the Irish in North America including a range of political, economic, social, and cultural themes.
