GNYCUC Recognizes Fisher Brothers for its Progressive Approach to Reimagining Residential and Commercial Properties

The Greater New York Construction User Council (GNYCUC) has recognized Fisher Brothers with its 2016 Developer of the Year Award for its significant accomplishments highlighted by 225 East 39th Street, 111 Murray, 605 Third Avenue and its portfolio-wide asset renewal program. The award was presented to Fisher Brothers Partner Ken Fisher at the GNYCUC reception on January 25th at 605 Third Avenue.

“Fisher Brothers is consistently at the forefront of the industry with ambitious projects that feature innovative architecture and design,” said John Pierce, Chairman of GNYCUC and Senior Vice President, Design and Construction of Rockefeller Group. “In developing 225 East 39th Street and 111 Murray, Fisher Brothers is creating two distinct residential properties that truly reflect grand 21st century urban living.”

Added Chris Jaskiewicz, Past Chairman of GNYCUC and COO of Gotham Organization, “In addition to its progressive work in the residential sector, Fisher Brothers also recognizes the constant need to refresh its existing commercial properties. They have responded with a bold modernization program for its trophy office towers, with projects that create a cutting edge feel in a classy, corporate environment.”

“We are honored to receive this prestigious award from the Greater New York Construction User Council,” said Fisher Brothers Partner Ken Fisher. “Our mission has been to produce a real estate portfolio that reflects New York City – dynamic, diverse, and powerful. We have worked to develop exceptional properties that are designed from the inside out and feature the sort of exclusive amenities and experiences that New Yorkers are demanding.”

In the residential sector, Fisher Brothers recently completed construction of 225 East 39th Street, a 37-story, luxury rental building. The striking glass tower is filled with exclusive amenities that are unrivaled in the Murray Hill neighborhood. At 111 Murray, Fisher Brothers is working with co-developers Witkoff and New Valley on a luxury 58-story, 157-unit condominium building that will create a new standard for Tribeca lifestyle. The 800-foot flared glass tower will instantly become an icon of the Downtown skyline once completed in 2018.

In the commercial sector, Fisher Brothers is in the midst of a $130 million multi-year, portfolio-wide reinvention program across its Class A Manhattan office towers. At 605 Third Avenue, Fisher Brothers recently completed a $25 million renovation program and unveiled a state-of-the-art lobby designed by renowned architectural firm Rockwell Group, highlighted by the installation of two 15- by 15-foot panels, each containing 900 tiles to form giant kaleidoscopes. The project has been extremely well-received and preceded approximately 60,000 square feet in leasing activity.

In addition, Fisher Brothers concluded the complete renovation of the public arcade at Park Avenue Plaza and began the reimagining of the lobby and plaza of 1345 Avenue of the Americas. These projects were undertaken in anticipation of ever-growing tenant demand for design excellence, truly collaborative spaces, greater efficiency, and attention to the environment.
