New York-based Tech Company Yext Will Open DC-area Office, Add 500 Jobs

On the heels of Amazon announcing its headquarters in Northern Virginia, another tech company is making plans to grow into the area.

New York City-based Yext, a tech company that provides cloud-based brand management services, is expanding to Rosslyn, Va., with a new office and plans to hire 500 people over five years, the company said in a press release.

“Yext is experiencing rapid growth as we create the groundbreaking technology businesses need to provide perfect answers in the services consumers use to find them. Growing our presence in the D.C. area is a critical step in continuing that momentum,” Howard Lerman, Yext Founder and CEO said in a statement. “We plan to create five hundred jobs in Greater D.C. in the coming years for talented, creative people who want to build a new technology category, so we are establishing a brand new, state-of-the-art space to fuel our growth today and well into the future.”
