Finance Firm to Occupy Entire 14th Floor at the Boutique 22-Story Property
Jack Resnick & Sons announced today that finance firm Gerber Finance Inc. has signed a full-floor lease at 8 West 40th Street, a boutique, 22-story building located in the heart of Manhattan’s prestigious Bryant Park district.
The firm, which specializes in financing growing companies will occupy 6,667 square feet across the entire 14th floor. Gerber Finance expects to relocate from 488 Madison Avenue this summer.
Founded in 1995, the product of a joint venture between a LSE listed bank and an international trading and investment firm, Gerber Finance was acquired by Global Fund Holding of Canada in 2017. Global Fund Holdings has various finance firms in its portfolio. Gerber Finance Inc. has clients throughout the US, Canada, South Africa and Australia & also has a sister location in Southern California.
“We are pleased that Gerber Finance has chosen 8 West 40th Street for its new headquarters,” said Jonathan Resnick, President of Jack Resnick & Sons. “We believe they were attracted in part by all of the amenities available in the Bryant Park neighborhood, as well as the building’s prime location, which is steps from both Grand Central Terminal and Penn Station.”
Jack Resnick & Sons was represented by an in-house leasing team of Brett Greenberg and Fran Delgorio, while Rob Silver of Newmark Knight Frank represented the tenant.
Originally designed by Starrett & Van Vleck and acquired by Jack Resnick & Sons in 1962, the building contains a distinctive, two-story lobby with concierge desk, visitor access and security system and new elevator cabs. The building recently achieved Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification with the U.S. Green Building Council.
