Leading private equity real estate investment firm purchases 56,000-SF residential building in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg neighborhood

Schwartz Sladkus Reich Greenberg Atlas LLP, a leading New York City-based full-service law firm, represented DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners in the acquisition of 151 Kent Avenue, a 56,550-square-foot residential loft building in the heart of Brooklyn’s Williamsburg neighborhood. DLJ Capital purchased the property for $41 million from the family of Norman Seidenfeld, Esq., and Zelda Mehl.

Jeffrey M. Schwartz, partner, with SSRGA, represented the buyers in the sale, along with colleague, Jessica Furgiuele.

“This is an extraordinary property in an ideal location, and it was a pleasure to work with the buyers to bring this acquisition to closing,” said Schwartz. “This property will thrive as the neighborhood continues to grow and evolve.”

The three-story residential loft building, located between North Fourth and North Fifth streets in Williamsburg, has 46 units, all of which are leased, and includes 18,850 square feet of unencumbered basement space. The property is located one block from several waterfront parks and adjacent to several iconic Williamsburg properties, including the Domino Refinery development. It has easy access to the L train and the East River Ferry terminal, both of which provide quick connections to Manhattan.
