NYC-Based Firm Helping Non-Profits Find Volunteers Inks 5,532-SF Lease at Boutique Madison Avenue Property

Catchafire, a New YorkCity-based firm that makes skill-based connections between professional volunteers and non-profits, has expanded its headquarters at 31 East 32nd Street. In a transaction arranged by Savitt Partners, Catchafire recently inked a 5,532-square-foot lease for the entire fourth floor of the boutique office property located between Madison and Park Avenues.

Elliot Zelinger, Senior Managing Director at Savitt Partners, along with colleague Corey Hight arranged the long-term lease on behalf of the building ownership, the Kiamie family.

Catchafire initially leased just 800 square feet of office space at another Kiamie property, the Arcade Building located at 118 East 28th Street. The firm grew very quickly and wanted to remain within the owner’s portfolio, resulting in a new 2,000-square-foot lease on the 10th floor of 31 East 32nd Street. Catchafire’sexponential growth continued with its relocation within the building for the entire third floor. With its recent fourth floor commitment, the company now occupies a total of 11,064 square feet at the property.

“This newest transaction is a prime example of how valuable landlord tenant relationships can provide mutual benefits,” said Mr. Zelinger.

Matthew Kiamie, Vice President of Windsor Management Corp. said, “We are pleased to have the Catchafire community, with their innovative business model in the social good sector, continue to be part of and expand within our portfolio.”

Owned by the Kiamie family, 31 East 32nd Street is a boutique, 12-story office building. The ownership recently completed comprehensive renovations at the property, including to the lobby and elevators, as well as stylish tenant installations featuring exposed brick, cottage windows, framed glass offices and other high-end finishes.
