
Danny Sachnowitz
Thor Equities Group, a global leader in urban real estate development, leasing and management, is pleased to announce the appointment of Danny Sachnowitz as Executive Vice President of Capital Markets. He will be based in the company’s New York headquarters.
Mr. Sachnowitz joins Thor Equities Group with a wealth of experience, having previously served as Deputy Director & Deputy Chief Investment Officer from 2003-2019 at Texas Treasury Safekeeping Trust Company, a $60 billion+ government investment office. At the Texas Treasury Safekeeping Trust, he was primarily responsible for the investment of all medium and long-term strategies across all asset types including real estate, private equity, & hedge funds, along with traditional fixed income and public equity strategies. Prior to joining the Trust Company, Mr. Sachnowitz held the position of Deputy Executive Administrator of the Texas Permanent School Fund from 2000-2003, a $20 billion endowment benefiting K-12 public education in the state of Texas. Preceding the Texas Permanent School Fund, he served as Chief Investment Officer of the Office of the Comptroller's Investment Division, where he managed all investment and custody operations, and the initial implementation of a $3 billion endowment.

Mr. Sachnowitz received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Texas and an MBA from Texas State University.
