Leff rejoins the firm’s New York headquarters office as an executive managing director
Savills announced today that industry veteran Michael Leff has rejoined the company as an executive managing director in the firm’s New York headquarters office, effective immediately.
Leff, who worked at the firm from 2001 to 2010, returns to Savills after a seven-year stint at Avison Young. In his new position, Leff will advise leading companies and organizations on strategic real estate solutions throughout the New York Tri-State region.

Leff, with more than 20 years of tenant representation and corporate real estate experience, has represented a diverse client base that includes major corporations, law firms, professional services firms, engineering companies, fashion apparel companies and more. Throughout his career, he has completed approximately 6 million square feet of transactions. His most significant deals include multiple locations for physical therapy provider Professional PT (300,000 square feet), law firm Heidell Pittoni Murphy & Bach LLP (90,000 square feet), and technology giant Samsung (50,000 square feet), as well as new leases for the for The Row fashion label’s headquarters (40,000 square feet).
Leff’s arrival is the latest in a series of major new hires at the company. Over the last several months, Savills added heavy-hitter Peter Hennessy as a vice chairman in the New York office, Mark Alvarez as a senior managing director in Houston and Cameron MacKellar as a managing director in downtown Detroit.
