Iconic Midtown South building to remain 100% occupied following signing of investment advisory firm

George Comfort & Sons, Inc. announced today that it has finalized a 10-year, 7,300-square-foot lease extension with Neville, Rodie & Shaw, Inc. (NRS) at 200 Madison Avenue. The firm will remain on the 20th floor through 2031.

Founded in 1933, NRS is a registered investment advisory firm based in New York City. The firm manages long-only separate accounts for investors seeking professional guidance in achieving wealth protection and enhancement as well as tax exempt portfolios for foundations, charities, religious communities, and 401K and other retirement plans. Assets under management as of December 31, 2019 approximate $1.5 billion.

“We’re pleased to maintain our longstanding relationship with NRS, which has appreciated the first-class management and maintenance of their space for over 30 years,” said George Comfort & Sons President and CEO Peter S. Duncan. “200 Madison Avenue’s proximity to transportation, classic Art Deco lobby, flexible floorplates, generous ceiling heights and plentiful light and air combine to create the ideal setting and work environment for our tenants, and the tower’s full occupancy is a testament to that appeal.”

Andrew Conrad and Matt Coudert represented George Comfort & Sons in-house.

Owned by a partnership of George Comfort & Sons, Inc., Loeb Partners Realty and Jamestown, 200 Madison Avenue is a 26-story, Class-A office building strategically located in the Grand Central submarket at the gateway of Manhattan's booming Midtown South office market. Occupying the entire blockfront between 35th and 36th Streets at the center of Manhattan’s transportation triangle, the iconic building is perfectly situated for commuters.

Notable tenants at the building include Phillips-Van Heusen Corp., Havas Health, Inc., Greater N.Y. Mutual, Garan, Inc. and Surdna Foundation, Inc. Roche Bobois, Starbucks and New York Sports Club are among the retail offerings at street level.
