WX – Women Executives in Real Estate Announces 2019-2020 Scholars Program Recipients

WX New York Women Executives in Real Estate (WX) is pleased to announce the WX Scholars Program recipients for the 2019-2020 program year. This year, WX extended the Scholars designation to 27 students at 12 participating schools,including 16 financial scholarships totaling $160,000.

Since the Scholars Program was launched in 2004, scholarships have been awarded to 327 women at 17 schools, with scholarship value totaling more than $1.57 million dollars. The goal of the WX Scholars Program is to promote and support bright, talented young women pursuing careers in real estate and related professions in the New York metropolitan area. Scholars havethe opportunity to network with WX members and attend selected WX-hosted events, such as monthly breakfasts and the annual Woman of the Year Gala, at a discounted admission rate for four years.

The WX Scholars also have the opportunity to participate in the WX Mentoring Program for two years. This program pairs Scholars with WX mentors so they can benefit and learn from their mentors’ professional experiences. The WX Mentoring Program hosts educational as well social events throughout the year for the WX mentors and mentees to meet and interact.These activities develop productive relationships and offer networking opportunities to support scholarship recipients as they enter the workforce.
