Mr. Dweck, Who Joins RIPCO from Newmark Knight Frank, Has Been Instrumental in Recent Leasing Deals Involving Chase Bank, Uber and Brooklyn Harvest Market
RIPCO Real Estate (RIPCO) today announced that Hymie M. Dweck, an accomplished industry veteran, has joined the Brooklyn office of the leading independent retail leasing and management company in the Tristate Region as Executive Managing Director. Mr. Dweck joins RIPCO from Newmark Knight Frank where he served for more than 10 years representing tenants and landlords within the city’s five boroughs.
“We brought Hymie onboard due to his extensive market knowledge and experience in securing leases on behalf of top-tier retailers and the city’s most successful developers,” said Mark Kaplan, Principal and Chief Operating Officer at RIPCO. “Hymie’s breadth of leasing, marketing and development experience, as well as his deep relationships, will make him an invaluable asset to our company as we continue to expand.”
Mr. Dweck has represented several nationally recognized retailers and respected owners. Significant transactions include arranging Uber’s 16,000 square foot lease in the Bronx, which allowed the ride-hailing company to open a Greenlight Hub for drivers in a space formerly occupied by CVS. Additionally, Mr. Dweck represented developer Adam America Real Estate in leasing 10,000 square feet of retail space at 781 Metropolitan Avenue in Brooklyn to Brooklyn Harvest Market, a gourmet grocery chain. Other notable recent transactions include representing Chase Bank at 24-16 Queens Plaza South and Citibank at 5 Court Square in Long Island City; managing Feel Beauty Supply's expansion throughout the Bronx, Queens and Long Island; and securing Ichiran Ramen’s large commissary and restaurant in Bushwick for their U.S. market entry followed by two outposts in Manhattan.
“I have worked on transactions with RIPCO over the years and they have always been on the forefront of retail development around the city, which is why I am excited about this step forward in my career to leverage my industry relationships and expertise to further elevate RIPCO’s position in the market,” said Mr. Dweck. “The strength of RIPCO’s name in the New York metro area, together with their team and culture, will be an enormous asset to me as I grow my business and I’m confident that together we will be able to stay ahead of what’s on the horizon for retail in our city and the neighborhoods across the five boroughs especially in these unprecedented times.”
