Chalk up another casualty of the COVID-19 pandemic. New York City's Hilton Times Square is closing in October, according to a notice filed with the state of New York.
The 44-story hotel, located on West 42nd Street, suspended operations in March and will permanently close on Oct. 14, its owners, Sunstone Hotel Investors (SHO +2.3%) said.
A total of 200 employees will be affected. Furloughs, which began on March 16, will become permanent in October, the notice said.
