Surrounded by Parks and Great Views, the 24/7 Riverside Market Opens at the Brooklyn Waterfront Community 24 Hours

Greenpoint Landing, a 22-acre development site that stretches for half a mile along Brooklyn’s waterfront, is pleased to announce that Riverside Market, a 24-hour market, has opened at 7 Bell Slip. The market is a welcome amenity to residents of Greenpoint Landing and to the local community, offering pick-up and delivery, organic juices and salads, non-GMO products, paninis, vegan fare, traditional sandwiches, as well as sundries, freshly made smoothies, and necessities.

Bejad Musleh, one of the owners who also owns other markets in Manhattan, has chosen Greenpoint for his first foray into Brooklyn, “As a center of activity in the neighborhood, Greenpoint Landing is the perfect location for Riverside Market” said Musleh. “I am looking forward to providing this vibrant community with a safe and comfortable space to get all the high quality essentials.”

The 1,500- square-foot marketplace features attractive wooden and steel fixtures and a modern aesthetic. Surrounding the market are acres of publicly accessible parks and a waterfront esplanade, the East River and glorious views of Manhattan.

At 7 Bell Slip, Riverside Market joins neighbor, Eleva Coffee, a café serving sustainably sourced coffee from Nicaragua, Guatemala, and Ethiopia, as well as specialties from local Brooklyn bakeries and homemade empanadas.

About Greenpoint Landing

Greenpoint Landing is a 22-acre site situated along a half-mile of East River waterfront, being master-planned and developed by Park Tower Group. In 2005, the City of New York designated the site for residential use under the Greenpoint-Williamsburg rezoning. In its entirety, Greenpoint Landing will include an estimated 5,500 residential units – 1,400 of which are affordable housing – as well as a new pre-k through 8th grade public school and four acres of public open space.

In a joint venture with Brookfield Properties, Park Tower Group is developing a total of 2,000 units across four development sites at Greenpoint Landing. The first building, One Blue Slip, opened in August 2018, and the second, Two Blue Slip, opened earlier this year. Two Blue Slip features Gachot Studios-designed amenities, including a private pool club, bar and lounge, co-working space, two-story fitness center, a landscaped outdoor deck, and more. The apartments have sweeping views of the East River and Manhattan skyline. The public waterfront esplanade at Greenpoint Landing has been extended to connect the newly renovated Newtown Barge Park and the existing waterfront open space. In total, there are now over three acres of waterfront public open space including picnic areas, open lawns, and a sports field.

In addition to the four sites currently being developed, an additional 300 units of affordable housing have already been completed in a joint venture between Park Tower Group and L&M Development Partners.
