Willow leverages Microsoft Azure Digital Twins, to deploy their real estate software product at Brookfield Properties’ One Manhattan West
Willow, a technology company in the smart building industry is leveraging Microsoft Azure Digital Twins, to deliver their real estate offering to market.
WillowTwinTM is a software solution that deploys digital twins for the built world to collect, organize, and analyze data. With WillowTwin, building owners and operators can easily monitor, visualize, and act on real-time and historical insights in their building.
Azure Digital Twins enables Willow’s team to develop intricate digital models of their customers’ buildings. Willow has fundamentally architected its solution with Azure Digital Twins at its core, using the service to model tens of thousands of assets and establish a live execution environment based on the real-time data from spaces, devices, and the relationships between them. Willow began working with Microsoft in 2017, combining Willow’s deep knowledge of the corporate and commercial real estate industry and Microsoft’s wealth of experience in cloud computing, Internet of Things (IoT) and cybersecurity. Azure Digital Twins and other Azure IoT services, provides the robust capabilities needed for Willow to build highly scalable, secure and compliant offerings.
The combined solution has been deployed at Brookfield Properties’ 67-story, 2.1 million-square-foot One Manhattan West office tower in Midtown Manhattan. This project is a game-changer as the U.S. real estate industry undergoes a major shift toward smart buildings. At One Manhattan West, Brookfield sought to optimize its operations while providing a modern, safe, productive and personalized tenant experience, quickly landing on Willow and Microsoft as key partners to bring their vision to life. Together, Willow and Microsoft are ensuring that the digital infrastructure of One Manhattan West continues to meet tenant office needs well into the future.
“Willow and Microsoft have been a really effective team.” said Shaun Klann, Willow’s Global Head of Real Estate. “The innovative thinking of a nimble, industry specialist like Willow, together with an organization like Microsoft that has a broad view and scope, offers something truly unique to the Real Estate market.”
