Bushwick’s CartoDB will host a daylong conference Wednesday on the use of cartography and data visualization at the New School in Manhattan.

According to CartoDB:

GeoJourNews 2016 is a media and technology conference catered to journalists to showcase the power of visualization and mapping. Attendees will hear from developers, journalists, and activists from various communities of practice working specifically on interactive mapping stories, GIS challenges, and creative coding solutions that couple storytelling and cartography in powerful and creative narrative. Confirmed speakers are from Bloomberg, The Wall Street Journal, Columbia University, MapZen and others.
