The company formerly known as CartoDB announced this morning that it is changing its name to CARTO.
The name change comes ahead of two new product rollouts, CARTO Builder and CARTO Engine, which will make building and analyzing maps easier for the layman. The company, which reports it had sales growth of 250 percent last year, predicts the new products will open up new mapping markets.
“When we first started CartoDB we envisioned creating technology to enable quick development of spatial applications, specifically for developers,” the company said in a statement.
