Brooklyn’s tech icon (sorry, Etsy) is throwing a big, free party this summer in Fort Greene Park. It’s the Kickstarter Summer Festival 2016 and will include games, food, performances, installations and workshops.
The festival promises a “life-sized game of Exploding Kittens, guided virtual reality meditation on Oculus Rift, Royal Palms shuffleboard fun, Keap Candles workshop, [and] performances by House of Yes.”
It’s cool that Kickstarter is reaching out to companies and projects that got off the ground on Kickstarter, such as Keap. We wrote about Keap last November, when its founders decided they wanted to change the way the candle industry works, by selling online, direct to consumer. Based in Industry City, Keap was founded by two formerGoogle employees.
