Freedom Acquisition I Corp. Prices Upsized $300M IPO

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Freedom Acquisition I Corp. announced today that it priced its upsized initial public offering of 30,000,000 units at $10.00 per unit. The units are expected to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange (“NYSE”) and trade under the ticker symbol “FACT.U” beginning on February 26, 2021. Each unit consists of one Class A ordinary share and one-fourth of one redeemable warrant. Each whole warrant entitles the holder thereof to purchase one Class A ordinary share at a price of $11.50 per share. Only whole warrants are exercisable. Once the securities comprising the units begin separate trading, the Class A ordinary shares and redeemable warrants are expected to be listed on the NYSE under the symbols “FACT” and “FACT WS,” respectively.

The Company was formed for the purpose of effecting a merger, share exchange, asset acquisition, share purchase, reorganization or similar business combination with one or more businesses. The Company intends to pursue a target in the financial services sector. Freedom Acquisition’s founders include Tidjane Thiam, Adam Gishen and Abhishek Bhatia. A private fund affiliated with Pacific Investment Management Company LLC (PIMCO) is a member of the Company’s sponsor.
